D-Link Announces Outdoor HD Cloud Camera Is Now Shipping

D-Link Also Drops Price on Popular Pan/Tilt HD Camera Model; Both Cameras Provide Affordable, Professional-Level Surveillance for Homes and Small Business.

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, California. -- February 20, 2014 -- D-Link today announced that the new Outdoor HD Cloud Camera (DCS-2330L), an outdoor-ready IP surveillance solution, is now shipping. This latest addition to the D-Link family of Cloud Cameras delivers advanced video monitoring features, allowing home and small business owners to keep an eye on what matters most from anywhere from a smartphone, tablet or PC with a Wi-Fi, 3G or 4G connection.

Equipped with IP65 weatherproof housing and a -13 F to 113 F operating temperature range, the Outdoor HD Cloud Camera is the ideal outdoor surveillance solution for any season. The new camera features 720p HD video quality and night vision for viewing up to 15 feet in complete darkness as well as advanced motion sensing technology, so users can receive instant email alerts based on changes to the camera's environment.

In additional news, D-Link today also announced enhancements and a price drop to the HD Pan/Tilt Network Cloud Camera (DCS-5222L). The new everyday low price of the camera is $169.99 in the United States, reduced from $249.99, making an outstanding value even better and offering professional-level surveillance performance at a very affordable price.

With sharp and responsive pan/tilt movement and digital zoom, the DCS-5222L allows users to quickly and easily scan a wide area from a variety of angles and zoom in for a more detailed view, making it the perfect solution for monitoring large areas. Recent enhancements to the camera, available on version B1, include:

  • A larger field of view (70 degrees vs. 56.1 degrees) providing more area of view
  • Improved night vision capabilities allowing users to view up to 26 feet in complete darkness (up from 16 feet)
  • Built-in microphone and speaker for two-way audio
