High-Definition Network Cameras Designed for Business Security Applications Requiring Outdoor and Discreet Monitoring
FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif. – July 20, 2016 – D-Link® today announced two new HD IP cameras, expanding its popular line of professional IP surveillance and security solutions – the Full HD Outdoor PoE Mini Dome Camera (DCS-6212L) and the HD Covert Network Camera (DCS-1201). The new HD cameras offer advanced security features, including Power over Ethernet (PoE), HD resolution, local recording, and a complete surveillance software package that allows users to view, manage and record from up to 32 cameras on a single computer.
The Full HD Outdoor PoE Mini Dome Camera (DCS-6212L) features industry-leading Full HD 1080p, 2 megapixel resolution and H.264 compression that delivers high-quality, detailed video recording and 30 feet of night vision. Weather and vandal-proof housing ensure durable protection against impacts and the elements, making it ideal for monitoring outdoor environments. In addition, the DCS-6212L is mydlink® enabled, allowing users to access and configure the camera remotely via the mydlink website and view live video on iOS and Android devices, as well as Windows phones.
With a versatile, compact form factor, the HD Covert Network Camera (DCS-1201) provides a robust solution to discreetly monitor an area. The camera’s small size and generous 50 foot cable allows users to place the DCS-1201 in a far corner of a room or use discreet pinhole installation, even without a power outlet nearby. Additionally, ePTz allows users to zoom in, zoom out, and pan video views for surveillance in large areas. Featuring motion and tamper detection, the DCS-1201 can easily be installed in walls, ceilings, or in tight corners, making it an ideal solution for ATMs, elevators, police stations, mass transit, and other applications where a hidden1 or small camera is required.
“Designed to address the unique needs of today’s businesses, D-Link leverages our breadth of technologies to provide flexible solutions to optimize security and protect what matters to business owners,” said Carissa Blegen, surveillance product line manager, D-Link Systems, Inc.
With optional support for Power over Ethernet, the DCS-2612L and DCS-1201 can be powered directly through a network cable with no need for external power adapters. Both cameras suit a wide variety of security applications, such as monitoring public areas, enforcing access control to restricted areas, deterring criminal activity, or monitoring inventory. In addition, users can locally save snapshots and video to a microSD card2, ensuring continued footage recording even if the network is disrupted.
