DCS-930L Wireless N Network Camera provides a better way to stay connected to home while on-the-go with Internet based mydlink™ portal and iPhone app
Oct 25, 2010 - D-Link, the end-to-end computer networking solutions provider for consumers, businesses, and service providers today began shipping a compact and affordable network camera that allows users to remotely view live streaming video through the company’s http://www.mydlink.comportal with multi-browser support and while on-the-go with an iPhone app.
The new D-Link® Wireless N Network Camera (DCS-930L) is ‘mydlink-enabled’ allowing it to be easily and securely viewed and managed via the mydlink™ portal, providing customers with an easier way to experience a connected, digital lifestyle. Other ‘mydlink-enabled’ cameras include the DCS-1100 and the DCS-1130 which were announced last year.
Unlike a traditional USB-connected webcam, the DCS-930L is a complete system with a built-in CPU and web server that transmits high quality video images for security and surveillance directly to the network without the need for a PC. Simple installation and an intuitive web-based interface offer easy integration with your wired or 802.11n wi-fi network. The DCS-930L also comes with D-ViewCam™ camera management software which includes recording and motion detection features for a complete and cost-effective home monitoring solution.
With the addition of an iPhone app, users can view a live feed from any of the “mydlink” family of cameras using the mydlink portal from their phones. For added convenience, users can view a live feed from the cameras using any 3G-enabled cell phone, PDA or any compatible 3GPP RTSP (Real Time Streaming Protocol) mobile streaming capable device*.
“The addition of the new DCS-930L camera to D-Link’s line of mydlink cameras is designed to give customers, regardless of their technical background, the ability to achieve peace of mind for under $100” said Rod St. Michel, vice president of consumer sales for D-Link Systems, Inc.
Due the camera’s small size and easy installation, users are offered a discreet and flexible way to check on their home, children or pets in real time from virtually anywhere with Internet access or within the customer’s mobile network.
